Principal Architect

Steve Musopole

Steve Musopole is an Architect-Urban Designer with fifteen years of experience, gained from numerous infrastructure projects.

Over the past ten years, Steve has developed expertise in PROJECT SCOPE DEFINITION, DESIGNING, EVALUATION and MANAGEMENT. He has also specialized in PROJECT MANAGEMENT and COORDINATION of integrated teams. Steve is a capable Designer and he continues to get directly involved in every aspect of designing.

Steve has had a successful track record in assuming Project Leadership on most projects that he has been involved in. He has expertise in developing human resources and ensuring its deployment in a Project. He has also expertise in fostering learning and communicating lessons. His ability to oversee various large-scale projects running concurrently and to work within and to motivate highly performing teams, to effectively represent clients in a wide variety of settings have proved to be a great asset on any project that he has worked on.

In all his work, Steve has demonstrated the capability to control projects from start to finish to ensure high quality, innovation and functionality. His prior experience continues to enable him to be an effective partner, advisor and leader in Infrastructure Development Projects. Apart from managing the day-to-day activities of the firm, Steve will be responsible for overall planning, designing, scheduling, conducting and coordinating the technical and management aspects of the projects.

Design Architect

Edward Kamwendo

Edward graduated from the University of Kwazulu-Natal, Republic of South Africa. Edward is an enthusiast in Construction Technology, Project Management, Housing Designs and Policy, Urban Design and Town Planning.

Edward supports the Principal Architect in the development of construction documents/drawings within set timelines. Based on construction Briefs, Edward has the capability to identify clients’ needs and put together feasibility reports and design proposals. Edward has excellent communication and teamwork skills. He has in-depth knowledge in Construction Economics, Building Engineering and Project Management.

Architecture Technologist

Alex Meza

Alex Meza has had more than 10 years solid experience in Designing and Building Construction. He started his career in Civil-Structural Engineering before he branched off into Architecture. He has specialized in Conception and Technical Design, Project Development and Detailing/Construction Documentation**, Technical Specifications, Construction Technology and Creating inclusive environments. He has vast know-how in ensuring projects are carried out to specific standards, building codes, guidelines and regulations.

Intern-Architect

Francis Ngwira

Francis Ngwira holds a Master of Architecture (professional) degree from the University of Cape Town in South Africa. His passion is in Design led by Research, Project management, Materiality and Construction Methods.

His role at AAL is to provide technical support to the Principal Architect to ensure satisfactory project delivery based on design integrity that balances with clients requirements and budget. His extensive experience in academia and practice brings together comprehensive design and documentation skills with detailed analysis of the impact of decisions made at both design and construction phases. Francis is process and result driven, creative, and innovative. As an organized team player who is systematic and analytical, he has proven to be flexible and resilient to the ever-changing world of Architecture.

Architectural Assistant

Tawonga Madhlopa

Tawonga Madhlopa is an Architectural Assistant – who graduated with her Bachelor of Architectural Studies Degree from the University of Cape Town in the Republic of South Africa. She is passionate about designing architecture that serves the people and respects the environment it is in.
As she gains experience in her role as Architectural Assistant, she also supports the team in designing, developing construction documentation, 3D modelling, site analysis and other activities related to administration.

Admin and Accounts Officer

Tapiwa Kaira

Tapiwa Kaira is an administrative and accounts officer. She is a holder of a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Accounting, Auditing and Information Systems from the Malawi College of Accountancy. Tapiwa is skilled in financial management and auditing which enables her to ensure financial objectives are being carried out in compliance with standards and regulations.

Her role as an Administrative and Accounts Officer is to help the company operations by scheduling meetings for the team, compliance checks, maintain office services by processing payments, book keeping and preparation of financial statements, assist in securing new projects for the office, and other activities in relation to administration and accounting.
