Introduction of Arch Art Lab
Founded in 2010 in Malawi, Architectural Art Laboratory (AAL) alludes to the sense of experimentation, curiosity and aesthetics that drives our practice. We find favor in the weird wonder associated with space-making and in the diversity of perspectives engendered in our team. In this sense, AAL Inc. is considered a project in itself, ever-being made and never-ending.
We are at the vanguard of making Public Infrastructure Captivating, Accessible and Coordinating of rigorous thinking with the use of minimal means. As such, AAL projects include a strong participative element. The goal is to encourage people to think differently about Architecture as well as helping to turn even vague ideas into reality. With this, AAL Inc. examines closely the link between Planned Space and Experienced Space, relationship between formal plans/drawings and informal action of users which is self-regulating.
Many years on from our humble beginnings, AAL Inc has turned around into a force to reckon with at both National and International Levels. At International Levels, AAL Inc has successfully worked with NORC at the University of Chicago (USA), Build Health International (USA) and M4H (Germany).
AAL’s capability to control projects from start to finish to ensure high quality, innovation and functionality continues to enable them to be an effective partner, advisor and leader in Infrastructure Development Projects.
AAL believes that the key to project success is to communicate and merge client expectations, our expertise and people in an innovative and passionate way, resulting in sustained relationships. These relationships are built on supplying reliable and accurate information and developing quick, effective, dynamic solutions of high quality. While AAL recognizes the diversity in its organizational and extraordinary individual talents, our shared value-set guides us in all that we do.
AAL will work in collaboration with clients and their teams from the outset to assess the scope of the project, address the risks, establish clear objectives and implement the strategy for achieving the defined objectives. It will provide all the human and technical resources deemed essential to execute any commission through to a successful completion.
AAL is committed to:
The definition and implementation of the project objectives;
The adherence to targeted milestone dates
The compliance with and continuing management of project deliverables;
The achievement of pre-determined quality assurance standards; and
A philosophy of adding value through efficient planning and management.
AAL will strive to identify the scope at briefing stage stages and will endeavor to engage a suitable panel of consultants to provide the required services. All professionals will, where applicable, be registered with the relevant statutory /professional body.

Quality Assurance
Arch’Art Lab is an ISO-9001/2015 Certified Firm. It has, therefore, a strong commitment to the assurance of quality in all projects and services. This has helped us to develop our own quality system. This quality system is summarized in our own Quality Document, which includes all procedures that should be followed in any project: It also describes the procedure for maintaining quality standards (due diligence, ways of solving non-conformity issues and so on). The system is revised periodically. As a part of the system AAL develops a particular Quality Plan for each Project. This guarantees the project will respect all procedures to assure quality. Our Quality Document has the following procedures:
